I don’t build to be seen. I build to be relied on. Applause is gone by morning. I build for that morning, when the room is empty and only two things are still standing: the work and my word.

Founder, SP Group of Companies

The long take.

I trained in business and finance, then learned the rest the only way it can be learned: by building.

In 2020 I started White and Black Entertainment and Blue Peak Info Tech, two companies with little in common. A year later I joined Parasvi Events, which I now lead. Different worlds, same discipline: plan it before you promise it.

Today they carry one name, SP Group of Companies, with SP & SP Service, our financial consulting company, as the parent and Sammara, our fashion label, alongside. I produce because a good story moves people. I write about the economy because small businesses move India. To me it is one instinct: find what moves people, and stand behind it.

Faith and family keep me grounded. So does the example of Ratan Tata, who was my role model and always will be. Some people leave behind companies. He left behind a standard.

Noise is fast. Trust is slow. I chose slow.

  1. Two cornerstones, one year

I started White and Black Entertainment, for films, music and digital content, and Blue Peak Info Tech, for networks and data security. One runs on imagination, the other on precision. Every serious business needs both.

  2. Where plans meet the clock

I joined Parasvi Events, and now lead it as Managing Director. Events teach what every business learns eventually: a plan is only a promise until the day arrives. Then it is kept, or it isn’t.

  3. Thinking in public

In January I began writing columns, first on the rupee, then on whether OTT is the next cable TV. An opinion in print is a signature, so I choose mine carefully. In August I attended an MoU signing ceremony in Malaysia.

  4. The audience answered

I produced ATHRU, a Punjabi romantic-thriller music video written, sung and directed by Sikandar Maan and released by Doss Music. It launched in Mumbai in November and passed five million YouTube views in under two weeks.

  5. Launches, and a view on sport

White and Black Music released Shiva Phonk, which I produced, in the week of Mahashivratri. That month, Sammara, our fashion label, opened its online store. In October, The Bengal Story carried my view on India’s 85 medals at the Asian Games.

  6. Today

    Unfinished, on purpose.

SP Group of Companies now spans five businesses, with SP & SP Service as the parent. Each stands on its own, alongside my work as a producer and a writer. The rule hasn’t changed: keep my word.

Nobody photographs the foundation.

Every building still standing owes it everything.

One name. Five promises.

Every business here stands on its own and answers for its own work. What they share is a standard, and a standard doesn’t bend to the size of a deal.

The name

SP Group of Companies

SP Group of Companies is not a company. It is a name. Like a family name, it walks into rooms before you do and stays after you leave. Every business in the group carries it. My job is to make sure it is always welcome back.

Reputation compounds. Shortcuts don’t.

Every promise honoured makes the next one easier to believe.

Stories outlive budgets.

For me, producing means seeing a story before the audience does, and protecting it until they can. Then it belongs to them.

Shiva Phonk

A devotional single by Prateek Gandhi, released by White and Black Music in the week of Mahashivratri 2026. Produced by Snehaashish Pathak. Some prayers are whispered. This one was made to be heard.

“This isn’t just a track for me. This is a storm with a divine signature. When devotion meets distortion, Shiva Phonk rises.”

The work wrote these rules.

Not advice. Just what building has taught me so far, written down so I don’t forget it.

  • Real growth happens in silence, long before it’s noticed.

    Mindset

  • Clients forgive a delay. They never forgive silence.

    Business

  • Sometimes you don’t need motivation. You just need enough ego to tell yourself, “I can do more than this.”

    Mindset

  • Success isn’t built by chasing applause, but by staying consistent when no one is watching.

    Mindset

  • Innovation knows no boundaries, and dreams need no permission.

    Mindset

  • Behaviour is something every mother teaches us: sometimes through love, and sometimes through tough lessons.

    Life

  • Travel isn’t just about places. It’s about the moments that remind us how alive we are.

    Life

  • How you treat a waiter, a driver or a security guard says more about you than your bank balance ever will.

    Life

  • The most expensive mistake in business isn’t losing money. It’s defending a bad decision just because you’ve already invested in it.

    Business

  • A deal closed on a discount ends with the invoice. A deal closed on trust brings you the next ten.

    Business

What I build on

  1. Quiet growth

Build first. Announce later, if at all. By the time anyone notices, the roots should be too deep to pull.

  2. The right kind of ego

One ego needs others to lose. The other refuses to let me settle. I only feed the second.

  3. Respect over show

Money can buy attention. Respect is earned by behaviour, especially toward people who can do nothing for you.

  4. Planning over luck

Luck is the name people give to planning they never saw.

  5. Your word is your asset

Long before contracts, India had a word for a promise you don’t break: vachan. I still do business by it.

Ideas travel further than people.

So I write mine down, and sign each one.

Opinions, signed.

Since January 2023 I’ve written on the economy, the business of media, politics and India’s progress, in English and in Hindi. Every opinion here is mine, and so is the responsibility for it.

Seen, briefly.

Pull up a chair.

Interviews, panels and partnerships. If the conversation is about how things really get built in India, the slow, honest way, I’m in.

Talk topics

  1. Building across sectors

Five very different businesses taught me one thing: the name matters more than the margin.

  2. Producing for India’s digital audience

How a Punjabi music video passed 5.5 million YouTube views, and why the audience now holds the final cut.

  3. Small business and the Indian economy

Most small businesses don’t fail for lack of ideas. They stall for lack of planning and patience.

  4. Business in the athletes’ corner

Behind every medal there is a coach, a physio, a training camp abroad. Business can help pay for the next decade of them.

  5. Trust before brand

Your first customers won’t come from ads. They’ll come from people who trust you. A brand is that trust, repeated.

Everything that lasts begins with a word.

Tell me what you have in mind and when. Three honest lines tell me more than thirty polished ones.

Include your country code.

Your details are used to reply to you, and for nothing else.

Snehaashish Pathakk

Do the work. Keep your word.

The rest is only a matter of time.
